Day 1

Arrival in the Heart of Africa

Kilimanjaro Airport → Tarangire National Park
Oliver's Camp, Tarangire
Meals: Half Board

Welcome to Tanzania — a land where the rhythm of nature sets the pace of life. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your friendly guide will be waiting to welcome you with warm smiles and local hospitality. Your journey begins with a scenic three-hour drive towards Tarangire National Park. Along the way, the world unfolds outside your window — rolling landscapes, distant villages, vibrant colours and the gentle pulse of everyday Tanzanian life. Once inside Tarangire, your first safari adventure begins. As the golden light softens the land, you may spot elephants bathing, giraffes drifting through the trees or antelopes moving gracefully across the savannah. After a long day of travel and discoveries, you may choose to relax at your lodge — or, for those eager for more, a night safari can be arranged.

Activities:

  • Airport pickup
  • Scenic drive to Tarangire
  • Afternoon game drive
  • Optional night safari
Day 2

A Full Day in Enchanting Tarangire

Tarangire National Park → Karatu
Hhando Coffee Lodge, Karatu
Meals: Full Board

This day is entirely devoted to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most underrated treasures. We suggest starting with an early morning walking safari — a deeply immersive experience where every sound, scent and movement brings the African wilderness to life in its purest form. Tarangire is a landscape painter's dream: endless savannahs interwoven with acacia woodland and dominated by ancient baobab trees — mighty sentinels that have stood for centuries. The park is especially famous for its impressive elephant herds that roam freely across the plains. But beyond the giants, Tarangire also shelters a rich diversity of species: from zebras and wildebeest to elusive creatures such as the fringe-eared oryx and the graceful gerenuk. A picnic lunch awaits you in the heart of the park, perhaps under the protective shade of a baobab, as the world continues its gentle rhythm around you.

Activities:

  • Early morning walking safari
  • Full day game drives
  • Picnic lunch in the park
  • Drive to Karatu highlands
Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater: Nature's Masterpiece

Ngorongoro Crater
Hhando Coffee Lodge, Karatu
Meals: Full Board

Today you venture towards one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on Earth — the Ngorongoro Crater. An early start is highly recommended to witness the magical moment when the first light spills over the crater rim and awakens the land below. Ascending along winding roads, you reach the viewpoint at the rim — and there it lies before you: a vast, ancient caldera stretching as far as the eye can see. From this height, the crater floor lies 600 metres below, a living Eden filled with grazing animals and dramatic wildlife encounters. Home to over 25,000 animals, Ngorongoro boasts one of the highest densities of predators in Africa. Lions patrol the plains, hyenas wander in their silent stride, and — if luck is on your side — you may encounter members of the legendary Big Five.

Activities:

  • Sunrise crater descent
  • Full day crater exploration
  • Picnic lunch on crater floor
  • Big Five wildlife viewing
Day 4

The Graceful Beauty of Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha
Arusha Coffee Lodge
Meals: Full Board

Your final safari day leads you to Lake Manyara National Park — a smaller jewel with remarkable diversity and cinematic beauty. Framed by the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, the park feels like a living stage where nature performs in harmony. The shimmering waters of Lake Manyara attract elegant flamingos that paint the shoreline pink, accompanied by an impressive variety of birdlife. It is also famed for its unique tree-climbing lions — a rare and mysterious behaviour seen in very few places in Africa. As you journey through the differing habitats, from lush groundwater forests to open savannah by the lakeshore, you may encounter baboons, blue monkeys and elephants in the denser areas, while giraffes, zebras and predators roam the more open plains.

Activities:

  • Morning game drive
  • Tree-climbing lion spotting
  • Birdwatching by the lake
  • Return drive to Arusha
Day 5

Farewell... or One Last Adventure

Arusha → Kilimanjaro Airport
None (Departure)
Meals: Breakfast

Depending on your flight schedule, your final day offers the opportunity to explore a little more of Arusha and its surroundings. Optional activities include a guided town tour, visits to coffee or banana plantations, the picturesque Napuru waterfalls, or simply relaxing with a locally brewed craft beer at the charming Twiga Brewery. At the appropriate time, your transfer will take you to Kilimanjaro Airport, where your journey comes to a close — though the memories of vast landscapes, gentle wildlife and golden sunsets will linger far beyond your return home.

Activities:

  • Optional Arusha activities
  • Airport transfer
